Cuts Whale Shark Loose From Painful Entanglement
With Fishing Rope
The
whale shark is the biggest species of fish in existence according to the Nature
Conservancy
During a Mexican excursion, a group of divers
encountered a huge commercial fishing rope wrapped around the animal,
found with deeps cuts into its fins. The rescue took less than a
minute. It's is possible the rope had been there for years,
as they noticed that the material was encrusted with barnacles.
