The Palm Islands are two artificial islands in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and built in the shape of palm trees. 

Construction  of the Palm Jumeirah began in June 2001. soon after, the Palm Jebel Ali was announced  work began. Construction then begin on a 3rd island but this project was later remodeled and renamed to Deira Island.

These man made islands are comprised of homes, resorts hotels and amenities. 

Every Villa on The Palm features a private beach and swimming pool. The Palm provides buyers with a variety of designs and styles, giving residents the opportunity to make The Palm their own. 

The Island is actually of series of islands connected together made to look like a palm tree. 


The crescent that surrounds the Palm Island acts as a breakwater, protecting the island from waves and erosion. 

Over 32 million cubic meters of sand was used in making the island.
