The Palm Islands are two artificial islands in Dubai, United Arab Emirates,
and built in the shape of palm trees.
Construction of the Palm Jumeirah began in June 2001.
soon after, the Palm Jebel Ali was announced
work began. Construction then begin on a 3rd
island but this project was later remodeled and renamed to Deira Island.
