NASA has released new images of Ceres taken by the Dawn spacecraft.
Haulani Crater is pictured above. it measures
a distance of 21 miles across. With the
astonishing detail, and the resolution, we can
get a better understanding of
this dwarf planet.
"Haulani perfectly displays the properties we would expect from a fresh impact into the surface of Ceres. The crater floor is largely free of impacts, and it contrasts sharply in color from older parts of the surface," said Dr. Martin Hoffmann of the Max Planck Institute for Solar System Research, Germany, in a
statement.
