Reaching
speeds of 300MPH (480km), sending people to
there
destinations in a much shorter time compared
to traditional rail or driving a vehicle,
the Hyperloop Transport Technologies
(HTT), is a research company that was founded soon after
Elon Musk originally conceived of the Hyperloop,.
Now a deal has been struck to build a test track in California.
Musk’s goal is to have a train that links Los
Angeles
and San Francisco, nearly 400 miles.
What would be a six hour commute in a vehicle, would be reduced
to a 30-minute train trip.
The Hyperloop trains technology consists of
a combination of magnets and levitation. The train itself will
be propelled through a tube that is elevated above the ground.
The ideal
is for the train to traverse a straight path so that passengers are less likely to feel travel sick.
Building Tunnels through mountains or building bridges
clear obstacles is how it would have to be
done in order to fulfill the vision.
